Discover Brooklyn : Brooklyn Heights,Dumbo,Williamsburg

“I don’t go to Brooklyn!”

This is what years ago taxi drivers used to say when asked to drive into Brooklyn! It seems impossible that it was only few years ago, because today Brooklyn is one of the most desirable borough of New York ( and in some cases the most expensive as well…) preferred by the new hipsters and artists with nice little shops and great restaurants . We’ll start from Brooklyn Heights, the Historical Neighborhood of Brooklyn where we will be transported in another time walking through treelined street surrounded by landmarked townhouses. Chosen as home by famous artists like Truman Capote, Bob Dylan,Arthur Miller (to mention a few…). Then we will stroll along the new boardwalk from where we can enjoy a stunning view of Lower Manhattan to arrive in the neighborhood of Dumbo. Once a successful industrial area , then turned into artist’s heaven thanks to the spacious and luminous warehouses lofts and nowadays a very popular and quite expensive corner of Brooklyn, famous for the many Pizzerie we can find here. From Dumbo we will take the East River Ferry directed to Williamsburg. The ferries are a very pleasant way to move around NYC that allows also to enjoy a different point of view of the city. Williamsburg is the “cool” spot of Brooklyn where many artist and the new hipsters relocated in these past 10 years. Full of restaurants, cafe’, bars and nice shops; we can also admire lots of street art (like murals, collages, sculptures and grafiti).

The Cost is $210 for 3 hours tour. Every additional hour is $70. The price is for groups up to 6 people and it doesn’t include the ferry ticket (the price for adult is $2.75) eventual subway ticket, refreshments and gratuity.
