During this tour we will learn the origins of this music made popular by movies and theater shows. This time we will go to Brooklyn, to visit the Brooklyn Tabernacle and experience one of the most famous gospel choirs, not only in America but in the whole World, 6 Grammy Award winners and who even sang in front of President Obama during his first “inauguration”.
After the church mass we will go to visit the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood, certainly one of the most fascinating part of New York and also the first neighborhood to be named a historic place in 1965. Walking through these tree-lined streets you will feel like you are transported back in time and arriving at the Brooklyn Promenade, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Manhattan skyline.
Important: During this tour we will attend a gospel mass inside a church. Even if the music is wonderful and it will seem like we are at a concert, we must remember that we are in a religious place where other people are there to pray. Respect is therefore required for the entire duration of the mass (usually an hour and a half).
This is a 4 hours tour.
